Our Plastic Surgeon's Education and Training
Larry C. Young M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Prior to becoming a surgeon Dr. Young grew up in Middle Tennessee and completed his premedical education at Vanderbilt University. In 1978 he graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, before completing his post-graduate training in general surgery at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He then moved to the Indianapolis area for his formal residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. He is also the creator of Young Skin Science, his specialized skin care line.
