Deep Chemical Peel
Dr. Young utilizes a deep chemical peel formula (Baker's peel) which has produced dramatic and consistent results in resurfacing the face since it was introduced over 40 years ago. The results are very similar to ablative CO2 laser resurfacing, with significant decrease in facial wrinkles and much improved skin elasticity and texture. Appropriate patient selection of fair skin type and make-up wearer is important, as it is in ablative CO2 laser resurfacing, due to expected hypopigmentation of the treated skin. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia with the same extended recovery period as ablative CO2 laser resurfacing.
